Looking out for the Buyer's Best Interest since 1995
Until 1995 when NAEBA was formed, a buyer’s interests weren’t given any particular weight in a real estate transaction. If anything, the seller’s concerns dominated the deal because the seller effectively paid commissions to both their own Realtor® and the buyer’s Realtor.
That imbalance caused deep consternation among a group of Real Estate agents concerned with the void in protections for buyers. The solution, they determined, was to form an organization whose members would exist for one reason only—to look out for the best interests of the buyer. NAEBA was born.
Right from the start, NAEBA’s leadership team recognized the need for advanced training and certification to fully educate member real estate agents on the nuances of a sale that could, if not handled properly, come back to haunt a new owner or damage a Real Estate Agent’s reputation.
NAEBA established a rigorous list of membership requirements—from CEBA certification to ongoing education—that its members are required to fulfill annually. This is in addition to the state-by-state requirements that Real Estate Agents must complete. The depth of training a NAEBA member must achieve and maintain is formidable—so much so that not every Real Estate Agent is capable of becoming a member.
Rest assured that your NAEBA-certified Real Estate Agent will deliver an elevated level of service to you as a buyer, providing you with acute due diligence before you commit to a real estate purchase of a home or building.
